The short answer: Disney Cruise Line lets paid-in-full guests reserve Port Adventures when their advance booking window opens. You can review, add or cancel an excursion in My Plans. The standard cancellation deadline is three days before the cruise departure date, unless the activity lists a different rule.
Port Adventure booking windows
Your cruise must be paid in full before you can reserve activities online. The opening day depends on Castaway Club status.
| Guest level | Advance booking opens |
|---|---|
| First-time guest | 75 days before sailing |
| Silver Castaway Club | 90 days before sailing |
| Gold Castaway Club | 105 days before sailing |
| Platinum Castaway Club | 120 days before sailing |
| Pearl Castaway Club | 123 days before sailing |
| Concierge | Shoreside Concierge Services at 130 days; online at 123 days |
The Concierge dates use two different channels. Shoreside Concierge Services can assist at 130 days, while self-service online booking opens at 123 days.
Check the excursion details before reserving
Read the listing for the exact Port Adventure rather than relying on the destination name alone. Compare its duration, age rule, activity level, accessibility information, meeting instructions and included transportation. Some tours have narrow age limits or require an adult for every guest under 18.
Port Adventures are run by independent contractors. Availability can change, and an excursion may be adjusted or cancelled because of weather, itinerary changes or attendance. Leave room in the port day for the instructions attached to the tour you actually book.
Save the details you will need ashore
Before sailing, note the activity code, meeting place, meeting time, required identification, clothing guidance and the activity restrictions. Recheck the reservation in Navigator after boarding.
How to book online
- Sign in to My Reservations.
- Open the My Plans tab.
- Choose the port day on the day-by-day itinerary.
- Select Add Activities and then the activity type.
- Choose the Port Adventure and the guests who will participate.
- Select Check Availability, choose an available time and save.
The reservation then appears under that day in My Plans. An available time or tour can fill before you reach the final step, so confirm the saved reservation rather than assuming a selection is held.
Changes and cancellations
To cancel online, open My Plans, select the day with the excursion and choose Cancel Activity. Disney's general Port Adventure policy allows cancellation up to three days before the cruise departure date. After that cutoff, reservations are final and nonrefundable. A specific activity can carry a different rule, so check its listing.
Example: If a cruise departs on Saturday, the general cancellation cutoff is three days before that Saturday. It is not calculated from the day the ship reaches the excursion port.
Booking or getting help onboard
After boarding, you can look for remaining activities in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or ask at an onboard activity location. Availability is not guaranteed. The Port Adventures Desk can answer questions, explain available excursions, make reservations and arrange Castaway Cay beach accessories or bicycle rentals.
The desk location and hours vary by ship. Navigator shows the current onboard details.
