Disney World Locker Rentals: Prices, Sizes and What Fits

Choose the right locker before a full backpack, rain gear or a pile of purchases follows you around the park.

Every Walt Disney World theme park and water park offers keyless lockers for a one-time daily charge. Theme-park prices run from $10 to $15. Water-park lockers cost $10 or $15. Rentals are first come, first served.

A locker makes the most sense when you have something useful for one part of the day but do not want to carry it for hours: rain gear, jackets, a larger bag or purchases you are not ready to take back to the hotel.

How to rent and pay

Cash in U.S. currency and major credit cards work at the self-service kiosk. If you want to pay with a MagicBand, MagicBand+ or Disney gift card, go to the merchandise location nearest the lockers. A Cast Member will process the payment and give you a code for the kiosk.

Keep the code somewhere secure and separate from the items inside. The locker is keyless and is meant for use throughout the day.

Which parks have lockers?

Lockers are offered at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach. The exact locker bank matters less than one key difference: only Magic Kingdom and EPCOT offer the jumbo size.

Check the current park map or ask a Cast Member when you arrive. Availability is first come, first served, so a particular size can run out.

What fits in each locker?

Use the dimensions, not the locker name. A soft bag can bend around other items; a rigid cooler or box cannot. Measure the packed item in all three directions. Door openings, handles and oddly shaped belongings can also reduce the usable space.

LockerReasonable starting pointCheck before paying
Small / water-park standardA compact daypack, a few folded rain jackets or a small group of personal itemsAnything wider than 10 inches needs careful measuring.
LargeA fuller backpack, several layers or a modest group of soft purchasesThe 13-inch middle dimension is often the deciding limit.
JumboA larger park bag, multiple jackets or several shopping bagsAvailable only at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT; measure rigid items.

Those examples are estimates, not fit guarantees. Disney publishes the locker dimensions but does not provide a bag-by-bag fit list.

When is a locker worth paying for?

  • A cool morning and warm afternoon: store jackets once the temperature rises.
  • A rain-heavy forecast: keep dry layers or spare socks available without carrying them through every queue.
  • Water-park gear: put dry clothes and items you do not want beside the pool in one place.
  • Merchandise: a locker can keep purchases together until you are ready to leave.
  • A full family bag: carry only the items needed for the next few hours and return to the rest later.

Skip the locker when everything fits comfortably in a small bag you will need throughout the day. A $10 rental does not help much if you keep walking back for sunscreen, medication, tickets or the next snack.

What should stay with you?

Keep anything you cannot comfortably lose or go without on your person: admission media, identification, payment cards, essential medication and your phone. You remain responsible for lost or damaged belongings, subject to applicable law.

A locker does not make a prohibited item acceptable. Firearms, ammunition, knives, self-defense sprays, fireworks and other prohibited items should never be brought to the park for storage. Bags entering a theme park or water park also must be no larger than 24 × 15 × 18 inches. Our Disney World bag-rules guide covers the broader entry limits.
