A Disney World Resort hotel can receive a package for a guest, but the label needs the hotel address, the word “Guest” and the guest's arrival date. The current policy applies a $6 handling fee to each ordinary package received through the Front Desk or taken to a hotel room.
Grocery deliveries follow a separate fee rule. Picking up an ordinary grocery order in the resort lobby is free. Having Bell Services or Luggage Assistance bring that order to the room adds a $6 fee per order. Deliveries that require age or ID verification must be accepted directly from the vendor.
Ordinary packages and groceries have different fees
| Delivery | Current Disney policy | What to plan |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary package received through the Front Desk | $6 handling fee per package | Use the hotel address, “Guest” and the arrival date. |
| Ordinary package taken to the room | $6 handling fee per package | Ask the Front Desk how pickup or room delivery works at that hotel. |
| Grocery order picked up in the lobby | No hotel delivery fee | Collect it from Bell Services or Luggage Assistance. |
| Grocery order brought to the room | $6 fee per order | Arrange room delivery with Bell Services or Luggage Assistance. |
| Order requiring age or ID verification | Hotel will not accept it for the guest | Meet the vendor and accept it directly. |
The two $6 rules are easy to mix up. One applies to each ordinary package handled through the Front Desk or brought to a room. The other applies to each grocery delivery order brought to a room. A lobby pickup avoids the grocery room-delivery fee, but it does not erase the separate handling fee on an ordinary package.
Policies and fees can change. Check the official mail-services page and your resort before arranging a costly, time-sensitive or unusual shipment.
Put the resort, guest and arrival date on the label
Use the full mailing address for the exact Disney Resort hotel. Resort addresses appear on each hotel's official page. Do not use a theme park address, Disney Springs address or a generic Walt Disney World address.
An incoming letter or package must clearly show the word Guest and the guest's arrival date. A practical label format looks like this:
Guest: First name Last name
Arrival: Month Day, Year
Disney's [Exact Resort Name]
[Official Resort Street Address]
Lake Buena Vista, FL [ZIP code]
Use the same name that appears on the hotel reservation. If the carrier offers tracking, keep the number with your trip documents. A carrier's delivery notice only means the shipment reached the destination in its system; allow the hotel time to process it before heading to the desk.
Ship with enough margin
Avoid a plan that depends on a package arriving during a narrow window. Carrier delays, resort processing and a changed travel date can all complicate pickup. If an item is essential for the first park morning, carrying it with you is safer than shipping it.
Choose lobby pickup or room delivery for groceries
Disney Resort hotel policies may limit or restrict grocery deliveries. Confirm the vendor serves your hotel, enter the exact resort address and give the vendor a phone number that will work during the delivery window.
For an ordinary grocery order, Bell Services or Luggage Assistance can hold the order for lobby pickup under the current policy. That pickup has no hotel delivery fee. If you ask for the order to be brought to your room, a $6 fee is added to the room account for each grocery delivery order.
Do not assume every item will be stored at a particular temperature or for a particular length of time. If the order contains something perishable, ask the vendor and the resort what can be accepted before placing the order. Keep your own arrival plans realistic. A late flight is a bad match for a delivery window that needs you nearby.
Meet the vendor for age-verified deliveries
If the vendor requires age or ID verification, the resort will not accept the order for you. You must meet the driver and complete the handoff directly.
That rule matters for any order whose vendor asks to see identification. Choose a delivery window when you can be at the hotel, keep your phone on and carry the required ID. Do not schedule the handoff for a time when you expect to be inside a theme park or traveling between resorts.
You can also send mail from Disney World
Postcards and letters with postage already attached can go into mailboxes around the theme parks or be left at the Front Desk of a Disney Resort hotel. Stamps are sold at various gift shops, but locations can change. Buying postage before the trip removes one small errand.
Most Disney Resort hotels can send a pre-packed, pre-labeled package from the Front Desk or Concierge desk. Some hotels with business centers also ship packages. Regular shipping and handling fees apply.
Have the package sealed and the label ready before you reach the desk. If timing or carrier choice matters, ask the hotel what service it can provide before relying on a departure-day shipment.

Delivery checklist
- Confirm the exact Disney Resort hotel and its official street address.
- Put “Guest,” the reservation name and arrival date on an incoming package.
- Save the tracking number.
- Budget $6 for each ordinary package handled through the Front Desk or taken to the room.
- Choose free lobby pickup or $6 room delivery for an ordinary grocery order.
- Meet the vendor yourself when age or ID verification is required.
- Ask before ordering anything perishable, oversized or time-sensitive.
- Keep a backup for items needed on the first morning.
The smoothest delivery is the one the hotel can identify quickly. Exact resort. Reservation name. Arrival date. Then choose the lobby or room option that matches the order.
