Disneyland First Aid: Locations and Medication Storage

Find First Aid in both parks, know what nurses can provide and plan ahead if you need refrigerated medication or medical help.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure each have a First Aid center staffed by nurses during normal park hours. You can stop in for basic care, over-the-counter medication, bandages, refrigerated medication storage and sharps disposal.

If you cannot walk to First Aid, tell the nearest Cast Member. A nurse may be able to assist you elsewhere inside the parks.

At Disneyland Park, walk to the end of Main Street, U.S.A. and look for the First Aid entrance beside the Baby Care Center. The photo above shows Disneyland Resort Health Services cast members outside that building.

At Disney California Adventure, stay on Buena Vista Street near the front of the park. First Aid is beside the Chamber of Commerce.

What can Disneyland First Aid help with?

Nurses can provide over-the-counter medications, bandages and other quick remedies during normal park hours. These centers are meant for basic assistance, so a nurse may direct you to outside care when your needs go beyond what can be handled in the park.

First Aid also has restroom space with added privacy for a guest who needs personal care assistance from someone in their party. The theme-park First Aid locations have dedicated adult changing tables and a limited selection of incontinence products.

What if you cannot walk to the center?

Tell the nearest Cast Member instead of trying to cross the park without help. A nurse may be able to come to you inside the park. Be specific about the guest’s condition and location so the Cast Member can call the appropriate team.

Can Disneyland refrigerate medication?

Yes. The First Aid centers can store medication that requires refrigeration. Bring the medication in its original labeled container and speak with the nurse when you arrive. Ask how and when to retrieve it, especially if you plan to park hop.

First Aid can also provide special containers for disposing of hypodermic needles. Do not place loose needles in regular trash.

Guests may bring oxygen and other medical equipment through security and may keep spare equipment at a First Aid location. Confirm storage arrangements directly with the center, because the size and handling needs of equipment can vary.

How do you get medical help outside the parks?

In Downtown Disney, contact the nearest Cast Member for assistance.

Guests at Disneyland Resort hotels can use the in-room phone and touch “Front Desk” for assistance with in-room medical services. That help is available 24 hours a day.

For an emergency, call 911

Call 911 from any phone for an emergency. Do not make a First Aid center your first stop for severe bleeding, trouble breathing, chest pain, a possible stroke or another immediately dangerous condition.

If you are already inside a park, alert the nearest Cast Member while someone in your group calls 911. Give the dispatcher the park, land or street, nearby attraction or shop, and any visible landmark.

A practical medication plan

  • Save both First Aid locations before your park day.
  • Keep medication in its original labeled container and carry the dose you may need before reaching the center.
  • Ask the nurse about refrigeration, retrieval time and what happens if you leave one park for the other.
  • Keep a photo of the prescription label and your clinician’s contact information on your phone.
  • Carry a backup plan for temperature-sensitive medication if refrigeration is temporarily unavailable.
  • Use a sharps container from First Aid for needles rather than a restroom or attraction trash can.
