For an Orlando International Airport arrival, choose between a ride to your hotel and a rental car you will use during the trip. Rideshares, metered taxis, shuttle vans and booked private cars can get you from MCO to Walt Disney World. Eligible Disney hotel guests can also reserve Minnie Van airport service.
Start with your passenger count, luggage and car-seat or accessibility needs. Then compare the total price for a vehicle that actually fits. A cheap quote for a car too small for your party is not useful once everyone is standing beside the curb.
This guide covers Orlando International Airport, airport code MCO. Check that code on your flight reservation before booking a transfer. Orlando Sanford is a different airport.
Compare the ride your whole party needs
| Option | Consider it when | Check before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Rideshare | You want an app-based ride and can choose a vehicle after landing. | The live quote, vehicle capacity, pickup point and any child-seat needs. |
| Taxi | You prefer the airport taxi curb to arranging an app pickup. | A vehicle that fits your bags and passengers; the fare is metered. |
| Shared shuttle | You want to reserve a transfer and can work with the service’s boarding arrangements. | The per-person total, hotel stops, luggage allowance and return pickup. |
| Private car or van | You want a booked vehicle for your party, particularly with several bags or specific equipment. | The full quote, exact vehicle, flight-delay terms and included equipment. |
| Rental car | You expect to drive on multiple days, especially beyond Disney property. | Rental total, fuel, toll arrangements, parking and the return process. |
| Minnie Van airport service | Your Disney hotel reservation is eligible and you want to compare Disney’s airport option. | Eligibility, availability, price and advance booking window. |
For two adults with modest luggage, compare a suitable rideshare with a taxi or private transfer. For a family with a stroller and several checked bags, get a vehicle-specific quote before traveling. A group should compare its combined shuttle fare with the price of one suitably sized private vehicle.
Rideshare and taxi prices work differently
Use the app’s quote for the ride you are requesting. Compare equivalent vehicle sizes, and check the pickup location before confirming. Wait until you have collected your bags and can reach that location under the app’s instructions.
MCO airport taxis charge by taximeter; flat-rate airport taxi fees are not authorized. Some taxis can carry as many as nine passengers, but that does not mean every vehicle at the curb seats nine or has room for nine people’s luggage. Confirm with the attendant before loading.
Shared shuttle or private transfer?
Shuttle van fares are charged per person. Ask about children’s fares and round-trip prices, then add up the whole party. Confirm whether the service is shared, which hotel it serves and whether other stops come before yours.
A private-car reservation needs equally specific questions: who meets you, where you meet, how long the driver waits and what happens if your flight changes. Mears offers private ground transportation in several vehicle types. Compare the terms of the particular service you book, including its vehicle and pickup arrangements.
MCO pickup levels depend on the terminal and ride
Confirm your arrival terminal, collect your luggage and follow the airport signs for your booked type of transportation. At Terminal C, rideshare and taxi pickup use a different level from shuttle vans.
| Ride | Terminal A | Terminal B | Terminal C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rideshare | Arrivals, Level 2 | Arrivals, Level 2 | Arrivals, Level 6 |
| Taxi | Ground Transportation, Level 1, A22–A25 | Ground Transportation, Level 1, B30–B34 | Arrivals, Level 6 |
| Shuttle van | Ground Transportation, Level 1, A19–A21 | Ground Transportation, Level 1, B76–B78 | Ground Transportation, Level 1, C200–C204 |
At Terminals A and B, Level 2 rideshare pickup is permitted 24 hours a day. The departures curb on Level 3 is an additional permitted pickup option between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Use your app’s assigned pickup point; the overnight rule is not a reason to choose a different curb yourself.
Private transfers and specialized services may give you a specific meeting point. Save those instructions before leaving home and contact the provider if they do not match what you see. If your terminal changes, check the route again instead of walking to the pickup point from a previous visit.

Who can book Minnie Van airport service?
Minnie Van airport transfers are available for guests staying at eligible Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort hotels and Club Level rooms. Confirm your particular reservation when booking. Standard vehicles seat up to six passengers.
Accessible vehicles can be requested, with seating for five people and space for two mobility devices, up to seven passengers total. Up to two complimentary child seats can be requested for airport service; confirm the configuration your party needs.
Book between 60 days and two days before your visit. Call 407-828-3500 for availability and reservations, including the fare and arrival instructions. This is an advance airport booking; an on-property Minnie Van request through Lyft is a separate arrangement.
Booking check: Review Disney’s airport transportation options before reserving.
Count bags and equipment along with passengers
Traveling with children
Before booking, give the provider each child’s age and the type of seat you need. Ask whether an appropriate seat is supplied, whether it must be reserved and whether it costs extra. If you bring your own, plan how you will carry it through the airport and install it in the vehicle.
Do not assume a taxi, rideshare or shuttle automatically includes a child seat. A booking for the right number of passengers still needs enough usable space for everyone’s equipment. Our Disney World stroller guide can help with the stroller choice for the rest of your trip.
Wheelchairs and mobility devices
Tell the provider whether the traveler needs to remain in the device during the ride, whether it folds and its dimensions. Confirm the vehicle’s loading equipment and space for the rest of the party. Describe the traveler’s specific needs when requesting an accessible vehicle.
Large parties and bulky luggage
Send a count of checked bags, carry-ons, strollers and other large items when requesting a quote. Ask whether all of them fit with every passenger seat in use. If you split into two cars, decide who rides in each, keep children with their responsible adult and give both drivers the exact same hotel destination.
Rent a car for the days you will actually drive
A rental car is worth comparing when your plans include several off-property trips, multiple hotels or destinations you want to reach on your own schedule. For a stay built around Disney parks, compare the complete rental cost with two airport transfers and any occasional paid rides.
Include fuel, toll arrangements, any parking charges that apply to your bookings, equipment rental and the time to collect and return the car. Check cancellation and late-arrival terms before paying. A rental desk or pickup process may have hours that differ from the airport’s.
On-airport rental pickup and return levels vary by company. For example, Alamo, Enterprise and National use Level R1 at Terminals A and B and Parking C1 at Terminal C. Other companies use different levels; some pickup and return locations differ even for the same company. Follow your rental company’s directions.
Off-airport rentals add a shuttle trip. Their designated pickups are on Level 1: A11–A13 at Terminal A, B60–B62 at Terminal B and C277–C278 at Terminal C. Confirm that your reservation is for an on-airport or off-airport location before comparing convenience.

Leave arrival-day commitments flexible
The drive is only one part of getting from your plane to the hotel. Allow for leaving the aircraft, reaching baggage claim, collecting luggage, finding your pickup and loading the vehicle. A shared service or rental pickup can add its own waiting time.
Use the road estimate for your actual destination and departure time when making the final plan. Avoid placing a prepaid dinner or activity immediately after your flight’s scheduled arrival. Traffic, flight delays and baggage collection do not fit a single dependable airport-to-hotel number.
For a late-night arrival
Confirm that your chosen service will handle the flight’s arrival time and what happens if it lands later. Save the provider’s contact number and check any waiting-time or no-show terms. The airport’s permitted curb hours do not guarantee that a particular vehicle or company will be available.
Keep the hotel informed about a late arrival and have its full name and address ready. Similar resort names, or a booking at a nearby hotel rather than a Disney-operated resort, can send a driver to the wrong entrance.
Airport transfers and Disney transportation are separate plans
Budget for the airport ride separately. Disney’s complimentary on-property network includes buses, boats, monorails and Skyliner connections for participating resort routes. Some trips require a connection. Those services do not provide a general complimentary MCO-to-hotel shuttle.
After checking in, use My Disney Experience for routes and stop locations, and check the operating arrangements for the day. Our Disney World transportation and parking guide covers the choices within the resort.

Book the trip back to the airport too
Work backward from your airline’s airport-arrival guidance and check-in or bag-drop deadlines. Add the road trip, a pickup buffer and any rental return or shuttle connection. Flight departure time is not the time you need to reach the terminal.
For a reserved transfer, reconfirm the pickup time, hotel meeting point, flight number, terminal and luggage count. Make sure your bags are with you before the driver arrives. A passenger transfer and a separate luggage-transfer arrangement are different services.
For a rideshare return, confirm the departure terminal in your app. Rideshare drop-off uses Level 3 at Terminals A and B and Level 2 at Terminal C. For a rental return, use your company’s return instructions, which may differ from the place where you collected the car.
Save these details before you fly
- MCO flight number, arrival terminal and your exact hotel name and address.
- Passenger count, luggage count, child-seat requests and mobility requirements.
- Reservation or app details, pickup instructions and the provider’s phone number.
- The total fare or quote, cancellation terms and flight-delay arrangements.
- A separate return plan, including the hotel pickup and airport-arrival target.
Keep those details together on your phone and share them with another adult in the party. After landing, the useful question is simple: where does this particular ride meet us?
