Universal Orlando uses Boomerang for lost-item reports. If you are still at the resort, ask a Team Member or Guest Services for help first. If an item fell in a ride area or another restricted space, leave the retrieval to park staff.
If the item is not found nearby, file the online report with a careful description and the closest resort location. Save the confirmation. Universal may later tell you the item was recovered, that the search is continuing, that more information is needed or that it could not be located.
File the official report
Universal Orlando’s lost-and-found provider will ask which resort location is closest to where the item went missing.
Open the Universal Orlando lost-item reportAsk for help while you are still there
Retrace the last few places you visited and speak with the nearest Team Member or Guest Services location. Give them a clear description and the approximate time you last had the item. For something left on a ride vehicle, tell the attraction team. Do not reach into restricted areas or try to recover an item from ride equipment.
If you have already left the resort, move straight to the online report. The same report page remains available from home.
Choose the closest Universal Orlando location
The report begins by asking where the item was lost. Choose the location that best matches your last known spot:
| Report location | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Universal Epic Universe | Items last seen inside Epic Universe |
| Universal Volcano Bay | Items last seen at the water theme park |
| Universal CityWalk Orlando | Items last seen in CityWalk’s dining, shopping or common areas |
| Universal Islands of Adventure | Items last seen inside Islands of Adventure |
| Universal Studios Florida | Items last seen inside Universal Studios Florida |
Use the closest match even when the exact handoff point is uncertain. A precise last-known place in the item description can help narrow the search.
Prepare a description that separates your item from the rest
Before opening the report, gather the details that make the item recognizable. Useful notes can include:
- Item type, color, brand and model
- Distinctive marks, stickers, case or damage
- A photo of the item, if you have one
- The last place and approximate time you remember having it
- A description of what was inside a bag, wallet or case
These are preparation tips, so use what applies to your item. Avoid putting passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information into the description.
Save the confirmation and watch for updates
Keep the report confirmation and monitor the email address or contact method you provide. Universal’s notifications may say the item was recovered, the search is still underway, more information is required or the item could not be located. Reply promptly if the team asks for another detail.
If the item is recovered, follow the instructions in that notification. Pickup, delivery, timing and possible charges can depend on the circumstances, so use the directions sent for your specific item.

For items lost at a hotel, contact the property
An item left in a Universal Orlando hotel room, lobby, restaurant or hotel vehicle may follow the property’s own lost-and-found process. Contact the hotel directly and give the room number, stay dates and last-known location. Do not assume the five park and CityWalk choices cover a hotel loss.
