Six Flags Over Texas starts daily summer operations Thursday, May 21, giving the Arlington park a bigger runway for its 65th-anniversary season after a stormy, outage-marred weekend put the park in the news for a very different reason.
Amusement Today reported Tuesday, May 19, 2026, that the daily-operations kickoff comes with new live entertainment, summer food and beverage items, and a lineup built around the park's anniversary year. Six Flags' own 2026 season preview also lists May 21 as the start of daily operation.
The daily schedule gives families and passholders more room to work the park into the week. The first few days also land right before Memorial Day weekend, a busy stretch for regional parks moving into summer mode.
New shows lead the summer push
Six Flags says the season includes Western Daze, Celebrate! 65 Years of Hit Music, Miss Cameo Kate's Western Burle Q Revue, The Swelltones, Brad Ross International Star Illusionist, and the return of Texas Justice.
Western Daze is the most unusual of the bunch. In a separate official post, Six Flags says the marionette show started May 16, runs on select summer days at the Corral Corner Stage, lasts about 24 minutes, and is included with park admission. The park frames it as the first puppet show at Six Flags Over Texas in more than 50 years.
The lineup is spread across several park spaces, including the Corral Corner Stage, Crazy Horse Saloon, Texas Street, near Johnny Rockets, and the Southern Palace Theatre.
Daily hours meet a sale deadline
The timing also overlaps with Six Flags' chain-wide Memorial Day Sale, which the Six Flags Over Texas homepage is advertising as ending May 25. The public promo says guests can save up to 50% on tickets, passes, and more, with discounts varying by product and online-only terms applying.
The start of daily operations falls in the same week as Memorial Day weekend, current online sale deadlines, and the park's recently reported power interruption.
