Six Flags Great Adventure announced Saturday night that daily summer operation has started at the Jackson, New Jersey park.
The timing is useful after a choppy start to the holiday weekend. Great Adventure and Wild Safari closed at 2 p.m. Saturday because of weather, while Hurricane Harbor New Jersey had already lost its planned opening weekend to the same soggy stretch.

Daily operation is the regional-park switch that matters for summer planning. Once schools begin letting out and the park stops behaving like a weekends-first spring destination, midweek coaster trips, camp visits, group outings, and passholder rerides all become easier to build around.
Great Adventure is also running a Memorial Day sale, with memberships starting at $8 per month after the initial payment, plus taxes and fees. The online sale ends Monday, May 25.
The sale deadline is separate from the operating schedule. Guests buying for summer should still check the park-hours calendar before choosing a date, especially while late-May weather and water-park opening plans are still moving.
