Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift construction has moved deeper into visible track and support work at Universal Studios Florida, where the 2027 coaster is replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit near Universal CityWalk.
New aerial videos from bioreconstruct show blue supports, staged track pieces, roof work over the dual-load station, and a growing construction footprint along the former Rockit site. WDW News Today also reported that bright white coaster track is now bolted into place at the active work zone.

The coaster site stretches from the front of Universal Studios Florida toward backstage areas behind New York and the soundstages. The latest aerial views show work around the station area and track staging near Epic Universe, where additional pieces and supports are grouped by shape and size.
Universal announced Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift for Orlando in January. The coaster is scheduled to open in 2027 with 360-degree drifting sensations and a 170-foot vertical spike that sends riders nearly 17 stories above the edge of CityWalk.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit closed in 2025 after running at the park since 2009. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift keeps the replacement in the same high-visibility part of the resort, where coaster work can be seen from parts of CityWalk and nearby hotel areas.
Universal has also said Fast & Furious: Supercharged will close permanently in 2027. That leaves Hollywood Drift as the next major Fast & Furious attraction for the Orlando resort.
