Disney is turning Bluey's first day at Disney's Animal Kingdom into part of a larger Bluey push across its parks, cruise ships, streaming service, stage shows, and movie slate.

A May 26 company feature connected Bluey's Wild World at Walt Disney World with Bluey's Best Day Ever at Disneyland Park, Bluey programming aboard Disney Cruise Line, the Disney+ streaming library, and the first feature-length Bluey movie planned for Aug. 6, 2027.

For park fans, that puts the Animal Kingdom opening in clearer context. Bluey now has a Disney footprint that reaches character entertainment, cruise programming, streaming, and theaters.

Bluey Moves Deeper Into Disney Parks

Bluey's Wild World opened May 26 inside Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch. The Animal Kingdom experience uses games, animal tie-ins, food, merchandise, PhotoPass, and an opening-period virtual queue rather than a traditional standby line.

Disneyland Park already has Bluey's Best Day Ever at Fantasyland Theatre, where Bluey and Bingo appear in a live stage setting. Disney's latest company story also points to Disney Cruise Line, where Bluey appears in shipboard programming including the Wakey Wakey morning celebration.

Disney Live Entertainment creative director Robin Lightbody said Disney teams worked with Disney Branded Television, BBC Studios, and Ludo Studio on experiences that feel true to the show while still fitting each Disney setting.

The Movie Gives Disney a Longer Bluey Runway

The live-experience push now has a theatrical endpoint on the calendar. The Walt Disney Studios will distribute the first full-length Bluey film in theaters on Aug. 6, 2027.

That timing matters for the parks. If Bluey's Wild World stays popular at Animal Kingdom, Disney has a simple reason to keep the character visible through summer operations, cruise programming, merchandise cycles, and the movie buildup.

Disney's own numbers explain the urgency. Bluey was the most-watched series across U.S. streaming in 2024 and 2025, and Nielsen measured more than 45 billion minutes watched in 2025.
