Hello! Neon Summer Greeting joins Universal Studios Japan's Summer Matsuri Night lineup from July 1 through Aug. 26, with Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel appearing in colorful summer yukata on Green Street in the Hollywood Area.
The greeting is part of Glow Up Street Performance, a set of summer street shows tied to Universal Summer Matsuri Night: Neon Glow Up.
Guests can dance with the characters and pose with neon summer props. Universal's larger night event runs 6:30 to 9 p.m. on most event nights, with shorter 8 p.m. finishes on July 3 and Aug. 22.

The broader event includes NO LIMIT! Glow Up Oh! Matsuri at Gramercy Park, Minion BOO-YA Block Party at Mel's Stage, summer food and games around Universal Market, and Summer Glow Moment pyrotechnics on select nights near the lagoon.
USJ is also selling a Summer Season Pass for afternoon admission and a Night Pass for 5 p.m. entry. The Summer Matsuri Satisfaction Set adds a special viewing area ticket, food items, and one Express Pass selection.
