Walt Disney Imagineering filed another set-installation permit for the future Indiana Jones attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom, adding a third scenic-work filing tied to the former DINOSAUR building.
WDW News Today reported the May 27 permit, citing Orange County records for work at 501 Restaurantosaurus Rd. Icarus Exhibits Inc. is assigned to install set elements, and the filing expires April 14, 2027.
The new filing follows two earlier set-element permits at the same address that named Adirondack Scenic and Scenario as contractors. Together, the filings point to scenic installation moving into a more active phase inside the ride building.
Indiana Jones Work at Animal Kingdom
Disney is replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas, a land centered on Pueblo Esperanza, an Encanto attraction, an Indiana Jones attraction, a large quick-service restaurant, and a carousel with carved Disney animal figures.
The Indiana Jones ride will send guests toward a Maya temple that Indy has discovered in the story. Disney has said the Animal Kingdom version will be different from other Indiana Jones rides around the world.
The useful detail is narrow: another named scenic contractor is now tied to the former DINOSAUR building as Tropical Americas work continues behind the walls.
Tropical Americas Timeline
Tropical Americas is scheduled to open in 2027. Disney closed the last major public pieces of DinoLand U.S.A. earlier in the project, and the new land remains one of Walt Disney World's largest active construction jobs.
Disney shared fresh Tropical Americas context in April, including Imagineering research tied to Maya art, Central and South American architecture, Colombian locations, and the region's rainforest setting.
