Cedar Point Shores Waterpark will open Saturday, June 6, moving the Sandusky water park's 2026 season start back one more weekend because of forecasted weather.
The latest delay follows an earlier move from Memorial Day weekend to May 30. Cedar Point's main amusement park remains open on its posted calendar while the water park waits for its first public day of the season.
Cedar Point Shores sits next to Cedar Point and includes Point Plummet, Crosscurrent, Lemmy's Lagoon, Lakeslide Landing, and the half-million-gallon Cedar Creek lazy river.
Guests planning a water-park day should now look at June 6 or later and recheck Cedar Point's calendar before leaving for Sandusky. Early-season water park hours can move quickly when Lake Erie weather gets in the way.
