The Cars 20th Anniversary: Lightning McQueen Bucket launched June 9 at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, sold out within a few hours at Walt Disney World, and is now being periodically restocked.

Disney Parks revealed the novelty popcorn bucket last week with a short official video. The red Lightning McQueen bucket has lit headlights, glowing underbody lights, and a racing-style finish.

At Walt Disney World, the $30 bucket went on sale today, June 9, at the central popcorn kiosk near the braille map at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It sold out within a few hours.

The launch covered both U.S. Disney resort destinations, with Walt Disney World included from day one. The quick sellout means availability can change during the day as more buckets are released. Disney's Hollywood Studios also had a limit of two buckets per person, per transaction.

At Disneyland Resort, Cars Land at Disney California Adventure gives the bucket a natural Lightning McQueen setting. Walt Disney World does not have a full Cars Land, so the rollout gives Florida guests a new Cars souvenir without a matching land around it.

The bucket joins Disney's busy early-June Pixar merchandise run, with Toy Story 5 items, theater tie-ins, and park-adjacent collectibles already landing ahead of the summer movie calendar.

For guests still chasing the bucket, the restock pattern matters more than the original launch date. A sold-out location may receive more later, so the first sellout is not always the final word for the day.
