Grand Floridian Cafe closes July 20 for refurbishment at Walt Disney World

The resort restaurant will close after one final July 19 operating day, with brunch moving upstairs to Cítricos during the mid-July through October project.

Grand Floridian Cafe closes for refurbishment at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on Monday, July 20, after one final regular operating day on Sunday, July 19.

The Walt Disney World restaurant will be closed from mid-July through October 2026. Brunch moves upstairs to Cítricos during the closure.

Dinner is the piece that drops from the temporary plan. Grand Floridian Cafe currently serves brunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. During the refurbishment, brunch shifts to Cítricos. Dinner does not move with it.

Grand Floridian Cafe Refurbishment Dates

The cafe project runs during broader work at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Resort renovations in select areas, including the covered entrance, are scheduled to continue through early 2027.

Guests may see daytime construction work or use alternate walking paths around the hotel. Other dining locations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa remain available during the cafe closure.
