Tokyo DisneySea's Magical Jubilee Shinkansen began running June 10, putting the park's 25th anniversary artwork on a JR East bullet train for a limited-time run in Japan.
The train uses Tokyo DisneySea's Jubilee Blue anniversary color, with Mickey Mouse, Disney friends, the DisneySea AquaSphere, and Mount Prometheus worked into the exterior design. Inside the cars, the anniversary treatment extends to headrest pillows, curtains, stickers, and onboard melodies.
JR East and Oriental Land planned the train for the Tohoku-Hokkaido Shinkansen route between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto. The official launch schedule started with Hayabusa 2 from Sendai Station to Tokyo Station on June 10.
Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary Train
The Magical Jubilee Shinkansen is scheduled to operate through early March 2027, mainly as select Hayabusa, Hayate, Yamabiko, and Nasuno trains. Tokyo DisneySea's 25th anniversary event, Sparkling Jubilee, continues at the park through March 31, 2027.
Tokyo Disney Resort also added a station installation tied to the anniversary at Sendai Station from June 10 through July 6. JR East plans to announce scheduled services for the special train on the 25th of each month.
