Georgia Gold Rusher will not open at Six Flags Over Georgia in 2026 while the ride manufacturer makes vehicle enhancements.
Six Flags said the work is meant to improve the coaster's performance, availability, and reliability. The enhancements are not expected to be complete until the 2027 season.
The Austell, Georgia, park introduced Georgia Gold Rusher in 2025 as a free-spinning coaster with high speeds, hills, 360-degree views, and water features. The ride will stay closed longer than expected.
Georgia Gold Rusher Reopening Moves to 2027
Six Flags did not announce a specific 2027 reopening date. The park said it will share more information when it becomes available.
The delay removes Georgia Gold Rusher from the 2026 summer lineup at Six Flags Over Georgia, which still has America 250 festivities scheduled July 1-10 and Star-Spangled Nights fireworks during the holiday window.
