Disney and Blue Star Families hosted a Toy Story 5 screening at Camp Pendleton on June 30 for close to 500 military children and family members, then surprised every family in attendance with Disneyland Resort tickets.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear appeared at the event, which also included a greeting from film talent, Toy Story 5 giveaways, and a visit from Josh D'Amaro, chief executive of The Walt Disney Company.
Disneyland Tickets at Camp Pendleton
The Disneyland Resort tickets were for the families who attended the private base event. Disney framed the surprise as a thank-you to military families for their service.
The screening tied the new Pixar film to a year of Disney and Blue Star Families events around the country. Toy Story 5 is now playing in theaters.
