A heat advisory covers the Walt Disney World area today, Thursday, July 9, 2026, as high humidity pushes afternoon heat index values up to 110 across east central Florida.

The National Weather Service Melbourne office issued the advisory for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT. The advisory includes Orange and Osceola counties, which cover Walt Disney World and the main Orlando tourism corridor.

Bay Lake's current forecast calls for a high near 97, with heat index values as high as 106 before scattered showers and storms later today.

Guests with long outdoor plans should build in air-conditioned breaks, watch for lightning delays, and check official park apps for entertainment, pool, transportation, or attraction changes if storms move through the area.
