Disney Store will release a Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse “Partners” figure online Tuesday, July 14. A U.S. price has not been announced.
The bronze-colored figure recreates sculptor Blaine Gibson's statue of Walt holding Mickey's hand. The base carries a “Partners” plaque and Walt's line about building a family park where parents and children could have fun together.
The full-size Partners statue debuted at Disneyland Park in Anaheim in 1993, according to Disney's official history. Magic Kingdom received its version in 1995.
