Fury 325 has been closed at Carowinds since July 7 after a routine inspection found an issue with one of the coaster's foundations.
Carowinds told WBTV that it notified state regulators and started repairs. The park said guest safety was not affected and gave no timeline for reopening.
The Charlotte-area park described the work only as a foundation repair and did not provide its location or scope.
Fury 325 also closed for six weeks in 2023 after a guest spotted a crack in a steel support column. Carowinds replaced that column, tested the coaster and reopened it after state approval. The current work involves a foundation rather than a steel support.
Carowinds said the repair process will not be rushed. Fury 325 remains closed until further notice.
