Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Hurricane Harbor did not open Wednesday, July 15, after severe storms moved through San Antonio.
The National Weather Service recorded a tornado crossing Loop 1604 west of Shavano Park at 7:50 a.m. CDT, with power flashes and debris visible on video.
Six Flags has not announced whether the closure will affect Thursday's schedule. Guests should check the park's website or app before traveling.
Update: A Six Flags spokesperson told MySA that the storms interrupted the park's power supply. Fiesta Texas and Hurricane Harbor sustained no structural damage, all team members were safe, and July 15 tickets will be honored on any operating day during the 2026 season.
