The Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio Square Block Party returns to Los Feliz on Sunday, September 13, from noon to 5 p.m. The event takes place at Kingswell and Vermont avenues, outside the building where Walt and Roy Disney opened their first Los Angeles studio.
The Los Feliz Neighborhood Council, Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District and Los Angeles City Council District 4 are organizing the second-anniversary celebration. Photo opportunities, community tables, skating demonstrations and a D23 booth are planned.
Walt and Roy opened the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in the rear of the Kingswell Avenue real estate office in 1923. The intersection was dedicated as Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio Square in September 2024, when Disney Legend Don Hahn and Roy Patrick Disney joined the ceremony.
The 2026 block party is part of D23's Walt Disney: 125 Years of Inspiration series, marking 125 years since Walt Disney was born in 1901.
