Magic Kingdom will open at 8 a.m. on Aug. 7, moving Early Theme Park Entry to 7:30 a.m. for eligible hotel guests. The park closes to day guests at 6 p.m. before the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of 2026.

Disney Tourist Blog first reported the schedule change. Magic Kingdom had previously been scheduled to open at 9 a.m., giving day guests one additional operating hour under the revised schedule.

Early Theme Park Entry gives guests at Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels a 30-minute head start. The current Magic Kingdom lineup covers select Fantasyland and Tomorrowland attractions, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight and Space Mountain.

The 7:30 a.m. start currently applies to the Aug. 7 party opener. Disney often adjusts park hours closer to each date, so later Halloween party mornings may still change from their initial schedules.

CrowdLevels' Magic Kingdom Early Entry guide covers the current attraction lineup and three practical first-ride plans.
