Most 2026 buyers can make the choice with two questions. How many Six Flags parks will you visit, and do those parks sit in the same region?
Gold covers the home park and participating parks in its East, Midwest, Texas, or West region. Prestige reaches participating Six Flags amusement parks and outdoor water parks across North America. A membership changes the payment schedule and expiration: monthly billing after an initial payment, a 12-month minimum term, then continued access while the account stays active.
Choose the right Six Flags pass
Gold is the best fit for most multi-park trips
Start on your home park's purchase page because prices, parking, discounts, blockout dates, and some benefits vary. The corporate tier name alone does not tell you the final cost or every perk.
A membership lasts 12 months and keeps renewing
Six Flags expanded memberships to six additional parks in June 2026: Carowinds, Dorney Park, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, Knott's Berry Farm, and Schlitterbahn New Braunfels.
A new membership lasts a full 12 months. After that minimum term, it continues until you cancel under the membership agreement. The account uses monthly payments after an initial payment. A season pass covers its stated operating season and expires under that product's terms.
Membership makes sense when you buy in July and expect to visit into the following summer. A season pass is easier when you want one defined purchase and do not want another cancellation date to track.
Silver stays local, Gold goes regional, Prestige crosses regions
Silver
Silver is generally a home-park product. Several parks limit it to Labor Day, while the Texas parks list October blockout dates instead. Check the exact validity window before buying for Fright Fest, Halloween Haunt, or WinterFest.
Gold
Gold includes regional admission in 2026. The home park determines whether your pass belongs to the East, Midwest, Texas, or West group. Gold is the practical upgrade when a second park in that region is already on the calendar.
Prestige
Prestige includes participating Six Flags amusement parks and outdoor water parks across North America. It can also add home-park benefits such as preferred parking, VIP access, a single-use Fast Lane, higher discounts, or Bring-A-Friend offers. Those extras vary by park and can be unavailable at a park away from home.
Gold access depends on the home park region
These are the current regional groups for passes bought after the 2026 ownership changes. Combined park and water-park names follow the official terms.

Six parks left current pass access during 2026
Purchase date matters. Gold and Prestige products bought on or after April 6, 2026 do not include Six Flags Great Escape, Michigan's Adventure, Six Flags St. Louis, Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun, or Schlitterbahn Galveston. Those five dry-park properties and the Galveston water park moved to Enchanted Parks.
La Ronde has a separate cutoff. Gold and Prestige passes bought on or after May 15, 2026 do not include the Montreal park. Earlier qualifying 2026 passes keep the stated access through this season.
This is the reason to ignore an old screenshot of an all-park list. Use the purchase date and the current 2026 product terms.
Admission travels farther than every benefit
Gold parking, when included, generally applies within the pass region. It has important exceptions: a Midwest Gold Pass does not include parking at Canada's Wonderland, no Gold Pass includes parking at La Ronde, and Gold parking does not apply at Knott's Berry Farm.
Prestige parking also varies. Canada's Wonderland includes it only for Prestige products bought from Canada's Wonderland. La Ronde limits it to La Ronde-based Prestige holders. Knott's includes general parking rather than preferred parking.
Food discounts, Fast Lane uses, VIP areas, Bring-A-Friend tickets, and other benefits can stay tied to the home park or participating locations. Treat multi-park admission as confirmed access. Check the destination park before assuming every home benefit will scan there.
Visit the home park before the road trip
Six Flags generally requires a first visit at the home park before regional or all-park access works. A pass bought from one park can be denied at another park until that home activation scan is complete.
All-season dining, drink, Fast Lane, parking, and other add-ons follow their own geographic rules. They are tied to the registered holder, cannot be shared, and may cover only the parks where the underlying pass works. The passholder normally must use the pass for admission on the same day before redeeming a meal or drink benefit.
Before buying, check five items on the final screen:
- Home park and region
- Fixed season or 12-month membership term
- Blockout dates
- Parking at the home park and planned destination parks
- Where each paid add-on is accepted
Six Flags pass and membership questions
What is the difference between a season pass and membership?
A season pass covers a fixed operating season and is generally paid up front. A membership uses monthly billing after an initial payment, lasts at least 12 months, and continues until cancellation.
Which parks can I visit with Gold?
Gold generally includes the home park and current participating parks in its East, Midwest, Texas, or West region. The home park, purchase date, and ownership exceptions control the exact list.
Does Prestige include every Six Flags park?
Prestige covers the current participating Six Flags amusement parks and outdoor water parks across North America. Products bought after the April and May ownership cutoffs exclude the transferred parks listed above.
Do I have to activate at my home park first?
Usually, yes. Complete the first scan at the home park before trying to use regional or Prestige admission somewhere else.
