Disney released the first teaser for Disney Worldbuilders, a feature documentary directed by Leslie Iwerks and headed to Disney+.
The film brings together creators from across Disney's major studios and franchises. The announced interview lineup includes Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, filmmaker James Cameron, Jon Favreau, Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter, Disney Animation leaders Jennifer Lee and Jared Bush, Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro and former CEO Bob Iger.
The teaser moves through Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Avatar and Disney Animation work. Disney has not announced a Disney+ release date beyond “coming soon.”
Iwerks previously directed The Imagineering Story and Disneyland Handcrafted. She is the granddaughter of Disney Legend Ub Iwerks, who co-created Mickey Mouse with Walt Disney. The D23 2026 schedule also includes a feature-length Leslie Iwerks documentary presentation on Aug. 16.
