Tesla Robotaxi Launches in Orlando With Initial Service Map

The first published zone covers part of the city, but visitors should check each trip in the app.

Tesla launched Robotaxi service in Orlando on Tuesday, adding the city alongside Tampa in its latest Florida expansion.

The initial Orlando map covers part of the city. State Road 528 runs along its southern edge, while State Road 417 marks much of the eastern boundary. The published zone does not cover the broader southwest resort area, so visitors should not assume a trip to Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando is available.

Riders request trips through Tesla's Robotaxi app. The app provides a fare estimate, pickup location and wait time, and it determines whether both ends of a requested trip fall inside the active service area.

Tesla listed Orlando and Tampa as cities with preparations underway in its April 2026 quarterly update. Both moved into service with Tuesday's announcement.
