The first full Avengers: Doomsday trailer drew 503 million views during its first 24 hours, the largest movie-trailer launch in Disney history.

The total ranks second among all movie trailers. Sony's Spider-Man: Brand New Day holds the record with 718.6 million views. The previous Disney high was 365 million views for the Deadpool & Wolverine Super Bowl teaser, including its television audience.

Marvel Studios released the trailer and opened Infinity Vision ticket sales July 20. The movie arrives in theaters Dec. 18.

The trailer brings the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men into the same conflict with Doctor Doom. In Marvel Comics, Doom is the armored ruler of Latveria and a longtime Fantastic Four enemy. The movie can adapt pieces of that history without following a single comic storyline.

Marvel Studios will return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday for a presentation about its upcoming movies. The studio has not detailed what footage or announcements will appear.
