Hong Kong Disneyland has added cooling equipment and shade across the park as it adapts summer operations for extreme heat, humidity and rain. The resort now has about 860 fans and more than 40 free water dispensers.
Nearly half of those dispensers have been upgraded to fill bottles 50% faster. The park also uses mist cooling systems, portable air-conditioning units in select outdoor areas, added shade structures, trees and mobile fans that can be moved to busy locations.
Cooling Changes Around Hong Kong Disneyland
Energy-efficient ceiling fans operate at park entrances and ticketing areas. Larger axial fans improve airflow in queues, while hard roofs and ventilation planning reduce heat buildup at locations including Wayfinders' Table in Adventureland.
Moana: A Homecoming Celebration uses canopies, trees and fans around its outdoor stage. Outdoor cast members receive extra rest breaks, hydration support, electrolyte drink powder and chilled water during periods of extreme heat and humidity. The park can also adjust outdoor showtimes when Hong Kong issues a Heat Stress at Work Warning.
HK$480 Summer Chill 4PM Ticket
Hong Kong residents can enter after 4 p.m. with the new Summer Chill 4PM Ticket for HK$480. Sales began July 17 at the park's main entrance ticket booths. Online sales through a MyDisney HK account begin July 24.
The ticket is tied to Pixar Summer Fest, which runs through August 31. The summer program includes Pixar Water Play Street Party, the eight-minute Pixar Pals Spectacular before Momentous, character appearances, food and merchandise.
