Six Flags Great America is pointing to Aug. 6 as the next date in its TreeTop Adventure 2027 campaign. A July 30 official video follows two guests consulting a park map, walking through Yukon Territory and finding a bracelet whose letter beads spell “AUG SIXTH.”

The park's caption says, “Pack your bags... Thrills are right around the corner.” It does not say what will happen Aug. 6, so the date remains a tease rather than a confirmed announcement schedule.

Earlier teaser showed foundations and “aviators”

Six Flags Great America posted another TreeTop Adventure 2027 teaser on July 23 showing concrete foundations, earthwork and an excavator at an active construction site.

The nine-second video calls the mystery attraction's future riders “aviators.” A black bird crosses the camcorder-style frame as the message “Nature's next aviators sprout here” appears with the hashtag #TreeTopAdventure27.

What the Teasers Confirm

The Gurnee, Illinois park has tied the project to 2027 and repeatedly used nature, wings and flight imagery. Its first TreeTop Adventure teaser showed a forest through a Camera 27 frame. The latest clip changes that label to Camera 67 and gives the clearest official look yet at construction.

The attraction type, manufacturer, ride model, exact location, opening date and final name remain unconfirmed.

Why a Vekoma Phoenix Is Being Discussed

Enthusiast speculation currently points toward a Vekoma suspended family coaster. In April, Coaster101 reported that a crate photographed near the construction area appeared to carry the labels “SFC Phoenix” and “Foundation Plan.” Vekoma markets Phoenix as a suspended family coaster whose trains hang below the track.

The new “aviators” wording and bird imagery fit that theory, but they do not confirm it. There is no comparable evidence tying the Great America project to Mack Rides' Stryker coaster model. Mack Stryker discussion has centered on a separate Six Flags Great Adventure project in New Jersey.
