Universal's theme parks generated $2.41 billion in revenue during Comcast's second quarter of 2026, up 2.7% from the same period last year, according to the company's earnings release filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Adjusted EBITDA, Comcast's segment profit measure, fell 5.1% to $609 million. Theme park operating expenses rose 5.7% to $1.81 billion.
Epic Universe Lifts Orlando Revenue
Comcast attributed the revenue increase to higher results at Universal Orlando following the May 2025 opening of Epic Universe. Lower revenue at its international parks offset part of that gain.
The company linked the increase in operating costs to its domestic parks. Epic Universe added a fourth gate to Universal Orlando when it opened last year.
Comcast did not separate Epic Universe attendance or revenue from the rest of the Orlando resort. The quarterly filing also does not provide attendance totals for Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure or Volcano Bay.
Peacock Posts Its First Profitable Quarter
Elsewhere in the same entertainment business, Peacock reported $189 million in adjusted EBITDA, its first profitable quarter. The streaming service ended the period with 48 million paid subscribers, up by two million from the end of March.
The results arrive while Comcast prepares to separate NBCUniversal, Sky and Universal's theme parks into a new public company. Comcast said in June that the transaction is expected to take about one year and remains subject to customary approvals.
