A man swam in the Rivers of America at Disneyland Park on Thursday, July 23, before climbing out along the Frontierland shoreline.
The original 46-second video posted by @pixiedustarchive begins with the man already in the water. He is shirtless and wearing long pants and shoes as he swims toward shore. Several people approach after he pulls himself out.
Video starts after the man entered the river
The video uploader stated that the incident happened that day, described the man as a Disneyland cast member and said he threw keys and a radio into the river before entering. Those actions are not visible in the video, and Disneyland Resort has not publicly confirmed that the man was an employee.
The clip does not show how or why he entered the water. No official information about injuries, an emergency response or what happened after he left the river was available by publication time.
Disneyland's working river
The Rivers of America circles Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island in the middle of Disneyland's Frontierland and New Orleans Square areas. The Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes use the waterway.
Disneyland describes the Mark Twain as a steam-powered vessel that converts water from the river into steam for its paddlewheel.
