The former Son of Beast station platform at Kings Island is listed for condemnation under a demolition permit issued by the City of Mason.
Mason's June permit report lists the site as 6300 Kings Island Drive, Unit Action Zone. The city issued permit BLD-26-417 on June 12 with the description, “Condemn former Son of Beast station platform.”

The filing does not list a replacement project or construction value. Kings Island has not announced what will follow the station's removal.
The last major Son of Beast remnant
Son of Beast opened at Kings Island in 2000 and closed in 2009. Most of the wooden coaster came down in 2012, while its station remained between Banshee and The Bat.
The station later housed Wolf Pack during Halloween Haunt. The Cincinnati Enquirer reported the permit July 27 and identified the structure as the last major piece of the former coaster still standing.
The demolition record concerns the old station platform only. It does not indicate a change to Banshee, The Bat or another operating attraction.
