Dungeons & Dragons is heading to the Star Wars galaxy in 2027. The game's official account announced the collaboration Thursday and said it will take place during the “Season of Rebellion.”
The announcement did not identify a publisher format, rulebook lineup, release date or price. It also did not define which Star Wars characters or stories will appear. Dungeons & Dragons said more details will follow.
What the announcement establishes
For now, the confirmed information is deliberately narrow: a Dungeons & Dragons and Star Wars collaboration, the Season of Rebellion label and a 2027 window. The teaser gives tabletop players a reason to keep an eye on next year's D&D schedule, but it does not yet support assumptions about campaign books, starter sets or character options.
Star Wars has a long tabletop history under other role-playing systems. The new announcement is specifically tied to Dungeons & Dragons, whose current core rules are published by Wizards of the Coast.
