A new two-record set called The Music of EPCOT will be available to preorder at D23 in Anaheim before its October 2 release.
The in-person preorder will be offered at the Disney Music booth, E13 in Hall B, during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event from August 14 through 16. The announcement promises free shipping to the buyer's home.
EPCOT's music stretches across several versions of the park. The new set includes “Listen to the Land” and “New Horizons,” along with music from newer attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.
A park soundtrack across decades
The set takes inspiration from the 1983 Official Album of Walt Disney World EPCOT Center. Its cover uses a nighttime Spaceship Earth image while the record labels carry matching geometric artwork.
A recording of Walt Disney discussing EPCOT is also included. That places the park's original planning idea beside music from attractions that opened decades later, a broad sweep for two pieces of vinyl.
Disney Music has not announced a general online preorder page or price. For now, the first announced order window is on the D23 show floor.
