Busch Gardens Williamsburg will bring back Corkscrew Hill in 2027, the park announced Monday morning. The return will use new technology, immersive storytelling and new effects.
The announcement does not include an opening date or detailed ride specifications. It describes the project as a continuation of the Corkscrew Hill story, leaving the ride format and guest-access timeline open for a later update.

Why the name is familiar
Corkscrew Hill was a motion-simulator attraction in Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Ireland village. The same motion-base space later hosted Europe in the Air and Battle for Eire, giving the 2027 project a specific place in the park’s attraction history. Busch Gardens’ background on the ride and its successors describes how those adventures used the theater.
The park has not said whether the returning attraction will recreate the earlier ride system, reuse the existing space or take a different approach. For now, the confirmed news is the name, the 2027 target and the promise of a new presentation.
