The track layout for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift appears complete at Universal Studios Florida. Midway Mayhem’s early-August aerials place the final pieces across the 2027 coaster site.

The construction milestone does not change the opening plan. Universal has announced a 2027 opening window and has not announced a specific opening date.

The 2027 project

Hollywood Drift is a high-speed outdoor coaster with rotating vehicles designed around a drifting sensation. The project includes a 170-foot vertical spike near CityWalk and will replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, according to Universal’s official announcement.

The finished track in the new aerial photos is a construction update, not a soft opening or testing notice. Universal has not announced a guest-access date.

The first inversion was completed last week, while the earlier 170-foot spike remains part of the layout near CityWalk.
