Nikki appears as a moving street encounter rather than a haunted house. In a second September 2 preview, she interacts with guests who were queuing for Sinners during a team member preview.

What guests should expect
Nikki is a special nightly appearance on the darkened streets of the park. No fixed location or meet time has been published, so guests should treat her as a roaming encounter rather than a scheduled character greeting.
Halloween Horror Nights opens Thursday, Sept. 3, and runs on select nights through Nov. 1. The Hollywood event also includes eight haunted houses, six scare zones, the Terror Tram starring Art the Clown, The Purge: Dangerous Waters, themed food and merchandise.
Universal Added Nikki While Planning HHN 2027
Murdy said Universal’s Horror Nights teams had already begun discussing the 2027 event at a January 2026 meeting in Orlando, Japan and Singapore. He said those plans leave room for properties that suddenly become viable.
After Obsession became a surprise hit, Murdy noticed director Curry Barker talking publicly about wanting Nikki at Halloween Horror Nights. Murdy said he called Focus, reached Barker about a week later and pitched the character’s appearance. Barker agreed, according to the interview.
Nikki is part of the Hollywood event’s street encounters, according to the Universal lineup release. Murdy’s account supplies the timing behind that addition, while the September 2 footage captures the character in the event streets.
Art the Clown and KILLceañera Complete the Lineup
Art the Clown is taking over the Terror Tram at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The final lineup also brings KILLceañera: Music by SLASH, an original haunted house built around a quinceañera that goes very wrong.
The Terror Tram will send guests onto the Universal backlot with Art the Clown from the Terrifier films. Ice Nine Kills created new music for the experience, with classic Christmas songs bent toward Art's particular taste in holiday décor. Murdy also said the character may turn up beyond the tram route.
KILLceañera centers on Lola's deadly 15th birthday celebration. SLASH composed music for the house, including a track called “15 Candles.” It joins Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, Ozzy Osbourne, Killer Klowns From Outer Space and Dead, Deader, Deadest in the Hollywood house lineup.
Four scare zones and a daytime house tour
The four scare zones are Hackerz, FORTNITEMARES, El Circo de la Muerte and Blood Bog. Other street encounters include Nikki from Obsession, Murder of Crowz, Shriek of the Banshee and Death Eaters. The Purge: Dangerous Waters also returns to the WaterWorld stage.
Hollywood will offer its first Unmasking the Horror Tour Add-On during the day. The guided lights-on tour covers Sinners and KILLceañera, with photos allowed in designated areas. That gives guests a way to study two houses before the monsters clock in for the night.
