Tokyo Disneyland has named its rebuilt coaster Space Mountain: Earthrise. The attraction and the surrounding Tomorrowland Plaza are scheduled to open later in 2027.
The new name keeps Space Mountain at the center while adding Earthrise, a reference to seeing Earth emerge over the Moon's horizon. Tokyo Disney Resort has not announced an exact opening day.

Space Mountain: Earthrise follows Sugar Rush in 2027
Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue will open first in spring 2027. Space Mountain: Earthrise and Tomorrowland Plaza will follow later in the year, giving Tokyo Disneyland two separate Tomorrowland openings rather than one shared debut.
The rebuilt coaster is part of a larger Tomorrowland project
Tokyo Disney Resort announced the replacement Space Mountain in 2022 and closed the former ride in July 2024. The project includes a new coaster building and a redesigned public plaza with light and sound effects.
Disney has described the attraction as a new Space Mountain with updated performance and immersive effects. Track details and ride length remain unannounced.
