Hayden Panettiere died Sunday, August 16, at age 36. Her representative confirmed her death to ABC News. A cause was not immediately disclosed.
Panettiere worked across Disney films, animation and television from childhood into adulthood. She voiced Dot in Pixar's A Bug's Life and Suri in Walt Disney Animation Studios' Dinosaur. Her live-action Disney roles included Cheryl Yoast in Remember the Titans, Maddie Dolan in the Disney Channel movie Tiger Cruise and Gen Harwood in Ice Princess.
Panettiere's ABC Role in Nashville
Panettiere later played country singer Juliette Barnes on Nashville. The drama premiered on ABC in 2012 and ran on the network through 2016 before continuing on CMT. Her performance earned two Golden Globe nominations.
Disney Roles From Dot to Tiger Cruise
Her Disney credits stretched across several generations of viewers. Dot gave the ant colony's youngest princess a fearless voice in A Bug's Life. In Tiger Cruise, Panettiere led a story about a Navy family whose time at sea is interrupted by the September 11 attacks.
Panettiere also appeared in Heroes, Scream 4 and Scream VI. She is survived by her daughter and her parents.
