Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover was operating with a 5-minute wait at Magic Kingdom at Thursday, Aug. 20, after remaining unavailable in the afternoon.
PeopleMover was running again, but the exact reopening minute was not available. Guests heading toward Tomorrowland should check its current status before they make the walk.
The broader disruption eased earlier
At about 3:55 p.m. EDT, the named rides in an afternoon Magic Kingdom disruption were unavailable during posted park hours. By 4:30 p.m., the other rides in that group were operating while PeopleMover remained down.
The National Weather Service forecast called for showers and thunderstorms in Orlando during the same afternoon window. That timing overlaps the ride disruption, but it does not establish why the rides went down.
Magic Kingdom's posted hours ran from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. EDT on Aug. 20. Guests heading to the park should check the park page before they go.
