Disney Store will launch a new Halloween collection inspired by The Skeleton Dance online August 31. Select pieces are already available in Disney Parks, while the full online assortment is scheduled for DisneyStore.com.
Walt Disney released the original Silly Symphony short in 1929. The collection borrows its black-and-white skeletons, Mickey Mouse designs and spooky “Rest in Pieces” artwork for clothing, accessories and home décor.

Disney’s 1929 short supplies the collection’s bones
The Skeleton Dance was the first Silly Symphony released by Walt Disney. The short follows a group of skeletons dancing through a graveyard, and its simple black-and-white imagery gives this Halloween assortment a look that is closer to old film stock than bright seasonal cartoon merchandise.
