Marvel and the U.S. Open are giving away a new Spider-Man comic during US Open Fan Week from Aug. 24 through Aug. 28 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.

The comic follows Spider-Man as he chases Scorpion across all five boroughs on the way to the tournament. The giveaway marks the third consecutive year of the U.S. Open and Marvel collaboration.

Fan Week Giveaway Requires a Fan Access Pass

The USTA plans to distribute at least 40,000 printed copies for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans must scan a Fan Access Pass at the giveaway tent inside the main entrance to receive a copy.

Five Borough Covers Are Distributed in Blind Bags

The USTA describes six unique covers for the collaboration. Five rare covers feature Spider-Man in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Staten Island, with each borough design limited to 1,000 copies.

Those collectible covers are distributed at random in blind bags to the first 1,000 fans on-site who pick up the comic each day from Monday, Aug. 24, through Friday, Aug. 28.

Spider-Man’s New York Story Leads to the Tournament

Peter Parker is the New York hero at the center of the story, while Scorpion is the comic’s villain. The issue uses recognizable city landmarks and the tennis center as Spider-Man moves through the five boroughs.

The US Open singles main draw begins Aug. 30.
