Disney+ has named Maura Higgins as host of a new Blind Date series, with filming planned for later this year and the British dating format set to return in 2027.

Production is scheduled to begin at a secret location later this year. Disney+ has not announced a filming site or premiere date.
The new series keeps the original Blind Date setup
Contestants will choose among three potential suitors hidden behind the show's familiar wall. Disney+ says the format will be reimagined for contemporary audiences, with further details to come.
Maura Higgins brings Love Island and The Traitors U.S. experience
Higgins previously reached the final of Love Island UK, hosted Love Island USA: Aftersun and finished as runner-up on The Traitors U.S..
Stellify Media and SO TV produce the Hulu Original
The 10-episode series, with 45-minute episodes, is executive produced by Matthew Worthy and Kieran Doherty for Stellify Media and Graham Stuart for SO TV. Disney+ EMEA commissioned the series from the UK.
