Everest: The Other Side will open in theaters and IMAX worldwide on October 30. The release date was announced on September 3, alongside photos of the filmmakers at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

The film follows an unfinished Everest challenge

The film centers on Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson’s attempt to ski Everest’s direct North Face. It was the final major line in their project, and no one had accomplished the feat before.

From the filmmakers behind Free Solo

Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, the Academy Award-winning filmmakers behind Free Solo, are making the film. Morrison, Vasarhelyi and Chin were pictured together in Venice ahead of the release.

October 30 release details

Theatrical and IMAX screenings are both scheduled worldwide for October 30. No separate regional release dates or streaming plans were included.
