On the Animal Kingdom destination page, Tropical Americas appears under “Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.” The description introduces Pueblo Esperanza as an 11-acre land with attractions inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones, without attaching a year to that section.
The Disney Experiences expansion page retains the phrase “Set to open in 2027.” It describes Pueblo Esperanza as a fictional rainforest village and names the same two films.
For anyone tracking the project, 2027 therefore remains a published Disney opening target. The missing year on the park page alone does not establish a schedule change.
What is planned for Tropical Americas
The expansion plans include ride-through attractions based on Encanto and Indiana Jones, along with a carousel featuring animals from Disney stories. Those attractions remain part of the Disney Experiences description.
