Dan Weinberger will join The Walt Disney Company as deputy general counsel on September 28. He will oversee corporate transactions.
The appointment was announced in an internal memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. David Howard, general counsel for Disney’s corporate legal group, sent the memo.
Weinberger spent 19 years at Warner Bros. and most recently served as senior vice president of business and legal affairs. His work included mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, partnerships and other corporate deals.
He earned his law degree from UCLA and his bachelor’s degree from Stanford.
