Ryan Coogler walked through the Sinners haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood with the Proximity Media team.

A reel posted September 12 opens with Coogler smiling as the words “Ryan Coogler vs. the movie he literally wrote” appear across the screen. The video follows the group beneath the Sinners entrance banner, past the Club Juke sign and into the house’s smoky, low-lit rooms as performers rush into view.

The visit flips the usual haunted-house experience around: Coogler helped create the movie, then entered Universal’s version as a guest. Proximity Media’s founders previously said they had been able to weigh in and collaborate directly as the film became a Halloween Horror Nights house.

Universal’s Hollywood house moves guests through Club Juke and scenes built around the film’s music, including “I Lied to You” and “Rocky Road to Dublin.” The house opened with Halloween Horror Nights on September 3.
