Jason: Blood Reign is now open at SCarowinds, bringing the Friday the 13th villain to a new haunted maze at Carowinds. The seasonal event began September 11 and continues on select nights through November 1, 2026.
The maze sends guests into the dark woods around a fictional summer camp and through scenes tied to Jason Voorhees. It leads a lineup of 17 haunted attractions, including five mazes, five scare zones, six live shows and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear.
Jason leads eight new experiences
Jason: Blood Reign is the only new maze in this year’s group of eight additions. The other seven are the Carnevil, Lost Souls and Restricted scare zones, plus The Resurgence, Blade Drummers, Sinister Slide Squad and Incantations with the Enchantress.
Four returning mazes round out the regular maze lineup: Paranormal Inc., Slaughterhouse, Silver Scream Studios: Director’s Cut and The Toothfairy. The Conjuring: Beyond Fear returns as a separately ticketed experience and is not included with park admission or the Haunted Attractions Pass.
A park ticket does not include the mazes
Every guest needs paid park admission. The $10 starting price covers a Haunted Attractions Pass for the selected night and does not include admission. It is an online price, with applicable taxes and a processing fee of up to $9.99 added to the order. Express access is available as an upgrade.
The park-and-maze bundle starts at $55 online and combines admission with regular haunted-maze access for one night. The same fee and tax language applies. Prices and inventory can change by date.
Check the calendar before leaving home
SCarowinds hours vary by night. The official Carowinds calendar currently shows 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, September 18, and 11 a.m. to midnight park hours on Saturday, September 19. Later dates should be checked individually before a visit.
The event is not recommended for children under 13. Guests age 15 or younger must enter with a chaperone who is at least 21, beginning at 2 p.m. each day. One chaperone may accompany up to 10 guests in that age group and must remain in the park and be reachable by phone. Government-issued photo identification may be required.
Re-entry is not allowed during SCarowinds. Costume masks, costume attire, face paint, trench coats and flak jackets are prohibited. Cameras and phones cannot be used inside the mazes. The park is cashless, although cash-to-card kiosks are available.
No-Boo Necklaces can signal scare actors to leave a guest alone in the park’s outdoor areas. That protection does not apply inside a haunted maze.
