Walt Disney World is preparing a Guided Search beta that could let selected guests compare resort prices and availability across flexible dates, with optional AI help built into the planning process.
Disney Tourist Blog’s Tom Bricker described the unreleased desktop site after attending a Walt Disney World media demonstration. The September 15 account says testing will begin with a limited number of randomly selected guests in the United States and Canada.
Flexible Dates, Rates and Discounts
The demonstrated hotel search showed available and unavailable dates on a calendar, along with nightly rates. It also displayed the best available discount while guests compared dates instead of requiring them to find and apply an offer separately.
A resort comparison tool placed hotel features side by side. Disney has not announced when the beta will begin, how many guests will receive it or when it might become broadly available.
AI Help Will Be Optional
Guided Search also answered trip-planning questions with short summaries drawn from Walt Disney World resources. Disney is developing the technology with Google Cloud.
The AI features will be optional. The demonstration did not include changes to Lightning Lane or advance dining reservations.
The public DisneyWorld.com homepage still shows its standard planning and booking options. The beta is an upcoming test for selected guests, so most visitors should not expect to see these tools yet.
